Musings on 1 Corinthians 13, Today…

Love is free and it multiplies the more you share it.

It doesn’t run out unless you squander it or measure it.

Love doesn’t say, “You’re perfect just the way you are,” but rather

“I love you and see you, even with your imperfections.”

Love isn’t just for those who are worthy of it.

Love doesn’t force you to take sides, but

Beckons you to follow His Way.

Love doesn’t stop loving when there are disagreements.

Doesn’t say, “What’s yours is yours and what’s mine is mine.”

Instead Love says, “Everything I have is yours.”

Love is risky and daring and keeps pouring out even if it is rejected.

Love is precious, priceless – but comes with the price of ache.

Love is open to receiving even the smallest gift with joy.

Love never stops trying, reaching out, radiating.

Love squeals in delight when reuniting with the beloved.

There is no shame or embarrassment in any gesture filled with love.

Without love there is emptiness and fear

But with love, all things are whole and sound.

Love remains in the heart for lifetimes

Even forever after, the beloved has gone on.

Love is “Eternal Memory.”
